Merry Christmas!!
This month’s cover picture was sent to me by Ian Cooling of Jaguar Automobilia Collector, after I questioned the authenticity of a “Jaguar XJ220 Tool Kit” that has been on ebay for some time.
The genuine Jaguar XJ220 tool kit, shown in the picture above, features two boards of special tools for the XJ220 that came up for sale in 2015 when the Belgian dealership “British Auto Centre” closed down. Engine tools are top left and the rest are chassis tools. The lot sold for the equivalent of £1500 which has to be the bargain of the day. The XJ220 tools alone are worth more than double that!
Now, that would have made a very nice Christmas gift!
