Michael Jewell’s multi concours winning 1933 SS1 is pictured above at the Jaguar Concours of Elegance held at Windsor Castle last month.
The SS1 and Michael’s other car, a 1961 Jaguar E-type Series 1 have both been invited to represent their respective years of manufacture in HM The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations which will take place on Saturday 15th October 2016.
Michael will be driving the SS1, while the E-type will be driven by his son, Adam.
The Parade is being organised by ‘The All Party Parliamentary Motor Group’ and supported by Stewart Miller and Peter James Insurance.
Ninety British vehicles representing the cream of the British Motor Industry, will be lined up on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace. The first is a Bullnose Morris Oxford Tourer which was manufactured in 1926, the last a Jaguar F-Pace in 2016, one for each year of Her Majesty’s life. The vehicles will be inspected on behalf of HM The Queen by HRH Prince Michael of Kent.
