Collecting Jaguar Scale Models – JEC Eastern Day, Ickworth House

Eastern Day at Ickworth House, Bury St. Edmunds, is only a matter of weeks away now, so all you Jaguar model collectors need to take count of all those Jaguar and Daimler models that you need to add to your collections. I shall be in attendance in the Marquee on the Sunday 17th May with my display of Jaguar and Daimler diecast models in assorted size scales. I will have with me some of the latest releases, that I have mentioned in my last article on the Xclusively Jaguar website (Collecting Jaguar Scale Models – New Models for 2015), plus a lot of the earlier released stock.

As most of you already know, this year is the 40th year since the launch of the Jaguar XJ-S model.  To celebrate this anniversary, Letitia Mace is creating a Jaguar XJS 40th Anniversary Timeline at our big Western weekend at Bodelwyddan Castle, North Wales on the 26th and 27th September this year. As the XJS model will be the main feature at this event, what Jaguar diecast models I have in my stock, I will hold back most of them for Western Day. I will have however, some XJS models out on display on the 17th May, but not as many as I am hoping to have out in September. A lot of the early released XJS models are hard to come by now, and when you do get hold of a model you will pay a lot more for it than when it first came out. I am always on the lookout for the rarer and hard to come by models, to add to my stock. One model that has never been released before by any of the model manufacturers, and is due for release later this year, is a diecast model in 1/43 scale of the Jaguar XJS Lynx Eventer Estate, 1985, in blue. This will be a model well sort after by model collectors and I can see it being snapped up very quickly, especially as the model will be a limited edition. My order is already in at the Wholesalers and when I have news of its release, I will make mention on the website. If any of you want a model of the car, then do get in touch with me before they all get sold. I don’t think they will be with me before 17th May but hoping to have them for the Brooklands event and the Western Day event.

Keep in touch with Xclusively Jaguar website where I will update with any news I get concerning new releases.

I look forward to meeting up with all of you who have met me before, on the 17th May, and also to meeting new faces, who like me collect Jaguar Diecast models.
