The JEC stand at Techno Classica, Essen 2015
|Techno Classica is the biggest classic car show in the world! Held every Spring in Essen over 5 days, I am told that if you visited every stand at the show, you would have walked 14 miles!

The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club have been regular participants in the show for many years, and last year, with the help and enthusiasm of German member Joachim Lausmann, made more headway into the European Jaguar fraternity than ever before.

This year, joined once again by Joachim, the JEC team consisted of James Blackwell (JEC Assistant General Manager), Helen Hodgson (JEC Retail Manager), Rob Jenner (JEC Chairman) and, for the first 3 days, Nigel Thorley (JEC Magazine Editor).
Our Swedish Region came by our stand at Essen. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year!!

On Friday evening Jaguar Heritage hosted a presentation on the history of Jaguar by Nigel Thorley on behalf of the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club. James Blackwell (JEC Assistant General Manager) commented ‘We have been very lucky to have this presentation hosted by Jaguar Heritage. 38 people turned up for this talk and Jaguar Heritage have been excellent, providing quality food and a perfect arena.’

By close of play on Sunday, almost 40 new members had been signed up, not all of them from Germany – one visitor to Essen, who signed up for JEC membership had come all the way from Shetland!
