December 2015 News Round Up

Jaguar XJ220 625

Welcome the December 2015 News Round Up – this is the introduction to the second of our new style newsletters, which we hope you are enjoying.

This month we have lots of Jaguar news, including the return of Brucie’s Diary – catching up in monthly instalments after a busy and successful year! We also have news and offers from our sponsors and some interesting Jaguars for sale. Last month we welcomed XJ Restorations as our latest sponsor. This month we would like to welcome Pentland Jaguar.

Please remember to let us know if you see anything that, that in your opinion needs amendment, improvement, addition etc, and let us know what you think about it.

Many thanks to all those who responded to this last month, we hope we successfully sorted the issues you brought to our attention, if not, please remind us!

As well as reporting on all the latest events, we are slowly adding previously published articles from our old website, so if you do not see what you seek, please contact Xclusively Jaguar

As with the old newsletter format, we are once again featuring a ‘picture of the month‘ as our news round up cover picture, so if you have a stunning or unique Jaguar picture, please submit to Xclusively Jaguar with any relevant details you wish to have published with the picture.

This month’s picture features Godfrey Miller welcoming his XJ220 as it arrives in Canada. Godfrey has been reading Xclusively Jaguar News since its inception, 8 years ago, and is an authority on the early XK’s and a former concours judge for JCNA. A few years ago he asked me if I knew of any XJ220’s for sale – it had to be red, cream trim and low mileage – a bit of a tall order, I thought, but he managed to persuade Urs Schmid in Switzerland (another authority on the XK and author of ‘XK120 – Anatomy of a Cult Object’) to part with one of his. Sadly, Urs has since passed away and after a spell at Don Law’s workshop for a general overhaul, the car was shipped over to Canada, arriving on 1st September 2015. Had it still been in the UK, it would have been the perfect candidate for Esta-jane’s Wedding!

Godfrey is now looking for a 1998 or very early 1999 LHD XKR convertible. If you have one in perfect condition, please contact Xclusively Jaguar
