The JEC Raffle car for 2020 has now been officially launched and the charity for this year is The Haemophilia Society
A 2014 Jaguar XK 5.0 Signature Coupe in stunning Italian Racing Red – one of the very last X150’s. A one owner car that has covered just over 35,000 miles with full service history. It is in stunning condition and has obviously been cherished.
I’m proud to say that this is the third JEC raffle car that Rob Jenner has been responsible for selecting, inspecting and completing the purchase on, and I too have been involved in that process on each occasion.
In 2018 I was the first person to drive the F-type after it was purchased by the JEC from Sturgess of Leicester, and I drove it to the London Classic Car Show where we sold £5000 worth of raffle tickets – a very good start to the year!
This year, on viewing the 2014 XK Signature Coupe as a potential raffle car in the dentoncars.co.uk showroom in Otley, Yorkshire, I took plenty of pictures of this immaculate one owner car, which at the time had only covered 34,457 miles from new.
We collected the car in January and it was hidden away in our garage awaiting its official launch.
After we had got it home, I had the pleasure of cleaning it and checking it over before we put it to bed in our garage under a cover. We were sworn to secrecy so nobody knew it was there ….. except us!
I am very sorry to see it go, but if you buy a raffle ticket, you may be the lucky person who puts it to bed in your own garage next winter!
Lookout for the car at various events throughout the year where you can buy your tickets.
The draw will take place on Sunday 15th November 2020 at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show held at the NEC.
