Welcome to the latest Xclusively Jaguar News Round Up!
This month’s cover picture features Pre-production XJ40 D38BRW outside “Nordholz Naval Airbase” in May 2019. We (Rob Jenner and Letitia Mace) were invited to Norway in June 2019 by the Norsk Jaguar Klubb. We flew from Edinburgh and met up with David Marks who had driven D38BRW from Nottingham, via Germany, as seen pictured here, to Norway. We all met up with our Norwegian host, Åsmund Lindal, in Drobak and there we enjoyed a 400 mile road trip through the Norwegian countryside to the big Norsk Jaguar Klubb event in Ålesund. Featured in Norway 2019
Out of interest, Nordholz goes back to 1912 and was the principle airship base for the imperial German Navy (as it was then) during WW1 – so the Zeppelins went out from there starting from September 1914.
There is a fascinating museum alongside the base with models and artefacts of Zeppelins, engines and aircraft.

Douglas Smith has recently acquired Campbell McLarens car book collection. Within the collection was around 50 ‘collectable’ Jaguar books, mostly 70’s 80’s 90’s. He would like to sell the collection to a Jaguar enthusiast. Many of the books have been autographed inside by Campbell, while others have a dedication to him from Jackie Stewart, John Egan etc.

Gerard Langlois recently subscribed to Jaguar Magazine via Xclusively Jaguar. Here are his unsolicited comments after reading the first few issues he received.
“In Jaguar Magazine there is a wealth of rather unexpected photographs (old and new) and articles not only related to Jaguar cars but also to people directly or indirectly in connection with them.
Hence, it offers a staggered positioning among the magazines dedicated to the marque which makes it a pleasure to read.
Thank you Letitia Mace and Xclusively Jaguar for introducing Jaguar Magazine.
All best wishes.
