Classic Jaguars and Land Rovers take to the ice in the Arctic Circle
Experience the performance and capability of a classic Jaguar or Land Rover on a frozen lake as Jaguar Land Rover Classic offers one of its most exciting driving experiences yet, with the launch of Classic Ice Driving
Classic Ice Driving is held at Jaguar Land Rover’s winter testing facility in Arjeplog in northern Sweden and drivers get to experience the thrill of driving models from Jaguar including the XJ, MKII, MKVII and XK150, which feature alongside icons from Land Rover such as the Series I, Series II, Series III and Range Rover Classic.
Specialist instructors provide customers with comprehensive tuition to enhance the once-in-a-lifetime experience of driving a Classic Jaguar and Land Rover on ice without any modern aids like power steering or traction control.
Tim Hannig said:“The Jaguar Land Rover Classic business is rapidly expanding and now offers classic car sales, bespoke restorations, parts supply and, in this case, unforgettable driving experiences.
Driving a Classic Jaguar or Land Rover is always a wonderful experience and having the chance to drive both brands’ icons on ice in such extreme conditions is a unique opportunity.
I am looking forward to meeting enthusiasts of these two great British brands in Arjeplog for a spectacular driving event.”
In addition to experiencing Jaguar Land Rover’s legendary models from the past, customers will also have the opportunity to experience the brand’s products from the present including drives in the stunning F-PACE, the high-performance F-TYPE and the supremely capable Range Rover Sport.
The Jaguar Land Rover Classic Ice Academy is run over three days with customers able to reserve dates today with experiences taking place early in 2017. Priced at €3,000.00, the experience includes two nights’ accommodation at the Hotel Silverhatten, VIP transfers on arrival from Arvidsjaur Airport and the professional ice driving tuition. Flights to Arvidjaur Airport are not included.
